Kinds of Kings 2019-2020 Season

Over the moon to announce that my composer collective Kinds of Kings will be artists-in-residence at National Sawdust next season! This is such a dream come true!

We have been given the opportunity not only to produce our first fully-programmed season, Equilibrium and Disturbance but also to create a platform for some of our favorite composers to give talks on their works before the concerts! We are also very excited to have this space to collaborate on our very first group work, an evening-length piece, “Towards Home,” which we are planning to record and release as a studio album!

Our season will open at Brooklyn’s Roulette Intermedium on October 24 with ~Nois saxophone quartet from Chicago. Our National Sawdust residency will kick off with guitar thrashers Real Loud on December 11 and will continue with pianist Isabelle O’Connell. We’ll premiere two new song cycles with Nouveau Classical Project on May 20, and our season will close on June 13 with Rubiks collective performing our first-ever collaborative work, "Towards Home"!

To make all this possible, we’ve just launched a Kickstarter campaign and you can check it out HERE (there are some excellent guest composer cameos in our campaign video)!

Hope to see you at a concert soon!
